Recap: Ali in the news!

Below are highlights from Ali’s participation in various public events and candidate forums over the last two months.

Ali participated in the August 15th school board candidate forum organized by the Richmond Crusade for Voters. You can view video from the event on the Richmond Crusade’s Facebook page.

On Sunday Sept 1st, Ali spoke at Trinity Baptist’s Candidate Forum for all City Candidates.

Trinity Baptist on Fendall Ave hosted a candidate forum for all city candidates which included people running for Mayor, City Council and School Board.

Ali spoke at the Candidate Forum organized by Northside civic associations on Tuesday Sept 17th at Linwood Holton Elementary.

“The decision to keep or to fire and manage the superintendent is the most important power of an elected school board,” Faruk said. “It should only be done not based on vibes or who’s friends with who or who thinks who’s doing a good job, but based on student outcomes.”

On Monday Sept 23rd, Ali participated in the School Board Candidate Forum organized by the League of Women Voters.
